The #WCBUC Aftermath

WordCamp Bucharest 2018 was an amazing experience for us as volunteers and organizers. We really enjoyed all the talks and the buzzing in the networking areas, the Contributor Day where we had an unexpectedly large number of people joining, the After Party and the guided tour through Bucharest.

Seeing all these different people from all over the world come together, to share their knowledge and experience with WordPress, really filled our hearts with joy. We felt that all the speakers delivered on-point and interesting presentations and we were glad to see the room engage with them and ask questions.

Hopefully, everyone who attended had a lot of fun, and from the feedback we got so far, they really did!

We’d like to learn about your experience, what you liked/disliked about the event, what talks you enjoyed most, how was the after party vibe and more. Please take a few moments and share your thoughts about #wcbuc 2018!

Get ready for the After Party!

After a full day of sessions and with registration that starts at 8:30 AM (please don’t be late), you’re invited to the #wcbuc After Party! Let’s enjoy more time together and relax over a couple of drinks at the Beluga in Old Town Bucharest.

The After Party is an informal get-together where everyone is welcomed to join: speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees. It’s a friendly way to have fun, get to know the speakers in person, meet the sponsors and congratulate the organizers (kidding). And this year, we have a special surprise for you 😍

#wcbuc Contributor Day focused on Gutenberg

Hello everyone and we really mean everyone :). Not just WordPress developers, but product people, designers, marketers, support staff, business people, everyone is welcome to take part in Contributor Day!

As you already know, WordPress is an open source project. It was and still is created with the help of contributing peers. During WordCamps, when WordPress people get together, we have a chance to give back to the open source project.

This year, we are excited to have Andrei Lupu leading a workshop about building Gutenberg blocks.

WordCamp needs your help: Volunteers wanted!

UPDATE: Our Call for Volunteers is now closed.

WordCamps are made by volunteers, people who want to get involved and contribute back by growing the WordPress community. If you’ve already attended a meetup, or you’ve been to any WordCamps around the world, you probably know that you can also be a part of it all.

Think of this as a pre-after party party! 🙂

We encourage anyone to join, help and become a part of our WordPress centered-community, no prior experience is required to join us & give a helping hand.

Hello dear friends. It’s our great pleasure to introduce you our host for this year. Marius is an entrepreneur, the organizer, and host of the Bucharest WordPress Meetup, and a dear friend of us.

  • When and how did you start working with WordPress?

I started using WordPress back in 2007 when I started blogging about entrepreneurship. Fast forward to 2014, I was freelancing and helping my first clients build their WordPress websites. In 2015 I scaled up the freelancing activity, and now I’m running a ten people agency called wpriders.com
