Hey everyone and I mean everyone. Not just WordPress developers – product people, designers, marketers, support staff, business people – everyone is welcome to take part at Contributor Day!<\/p>\n

\"Contributor-Day\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As you already know, WordPress is an open source project. It was and still is created with the help of contributing peers. During WordCamps, when WordPress people get together, we have a chance to give back to the open source project.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In 2016, Contributor Day was focused on Translations<\/a>\u00a0with help from the Romanian Polyglots Team. We will continue this tradition with Adrian Pop<\/a> and Valentin Vesa<\/a> helping with translation coordination. This year, we’re adding two new topics: community and theme review, led by awesome people from the international community:<\/p>\n

Milan Ivanovic <\/a>is deeply involved with WordPress. He\u2019s the WordPress.org global translation editor, WordPress Serbia lead and WordCamp Europe 2018 local team lead. He has participated on a vast number of WordCamps throughout the world and last year he’s been a speaker to WordCamp Bucharest – welcome back! Milan will be running the community workshop on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Remkus de Vries<\/a>\u00a0is a big WordPress enthusiast. So big that he\u00a0co-founded and co-lead for the first two\u00a0WordCamp Europe\u00a0conferences. Remember Leiden 2013? He’s the president of the WP Nederland Foundation responsible for organizing Dutch WordCamps\u00a0and a remarkable speaker. You will see him on stage on Saturday, after the first coffee break. Remkus will also be involved in the community workshop.<\/p>\n

Ulrich Pogson<\/a>\u00a0is a WordPress contributor and leader of the Theme Review Team. He’s also the lead organizer of WordCamp Bern and a speaker at our WordCamp. He’s taken a longer trip to visit our country before coming to Bucharest (he also stopped by WP Meetup in Cluj), so he will be coordinating the Theme Review workshop.<\/p>\n

Ivelina Dimova<\/a>\u00a0is an old friend of our WordCamp and she is secretly in love with our capital city. Maybe we\u00a0can get her to move here for a while. She is a traveler, a multi-WordCamp speaker, and WordCamp Europe 2017 organizer. Ivelina will also run the theme review workshop.<\/p>\n

Coffee and snacks will be available throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Where: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania – Banatul Hall<\/strong> (same as last year)<\/p>\n

There is no additional fee, just don’t forget to bring your badge. Also, for the theme review\u00a0workshop, it’s recommended to bring a laptop<\/strong> with you.<\/p>\n
